The genius of Emanuele Luzzati is so vast, that entering this exhibition is like going into a labyrinth, where you get lost but in the end you find yourself. Thus the director of Palazzo Ducale, Serena Bertolucci, describes the new exhibition in the sub-portico to the Ducale: the title is, in fact, Labirinto Luzzati. It can be visited until Sunday 3 November 2019, the anthological exhibition is a journey into the art of the Master Lele Luzzati.
An exhibition and also a new temporary house for the Luzzati Museum of Genoa, after the closure of the Porta Siberia museum at the Porto Antico, which took place a year ago: «We wanted to find an adequate accommodation for Luzzati’s works – explains the ‘Councilor for Cultural Policies of Genoa, Barbara Grosso – Waiting for the most suitable location, together with Palazzo Ducale we have thought about a temporary but long-lasting exhibition. Hence the idea of Labirinto Luzzati, which can be visited until November 2019 in the Sottoporticato of Palazzo Ducale.

The exhibition on the art of an international Luzzati becomes two in Genoa: «The exhibition is composed of two parts: one at Palazzo Ducale and one in Luzzati Lab, the laboratory where Luzzati’s projects for the Teatro della Tosse were developed and not only – The part of the exhibition at the Luzzati Lab tells the art of Lele in an interactive way.
Tireless, intense and versatile, in his works Lele Luzzati has never abandoned that sense of joie de vivre, of innocence and fantasy that characterizes them and that this exhibition intends to convey to the public.The first section of the exhibition is a biography by images.
The second section is all about theater: stage sketches, sketches, wall and table models, all contribute to recreating the unique atmosphere of his theater, including Obu, Pulcinella and Le mille e una notte. The third section is dedicated to Genoa. In the fourth section, here is the experience of Luzzati in the field of ceramics, while the last section is entirely dedicated to illustration.
The exhibition Labirinto Luzzati can be visited in the Sottoporticato of Palazzo Ducale with times from Tuesday to Friday from 3pm to 7pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 7pm. Closed Mondays. Tickets: full 6 euros; reduced agreements, groups of 5 euros; reduced up to 14 years and schools 3 euros.
