San Bartolomeo al Mare. The 2019-2020 adventure of “On the Paths of the Gulf”, the highly anticipated calendar of excursions in the company of the Environmental Hiking Guide Luca Patelli, begins with Urban Trekking.

In addition to the usual and unmissable spring walks, the Municipality of San Bartolomeo al Mare offers its famous guided (and free) naturalistic excursions also in autumn and winter, to discover the nature and the magnificent panoramas that the Dianese Gulf and the Valle Steria offer throughout the year, from the coast to the mountains, through ancient centuries-old villages and mule tracks.

Famous for the beaches and the sea, the Golfo Dianese offers history, nature and unique views. Already in Roman times it was revered as a sacred place. Over the centuries, a dense network of paths and mule tracks has united the coast with the hinterland and the connecting passes with the Impero and Merula valleys, where the caravans departed for Piedmont and the Alpine regions. Paths that enclose the history of the Ligurian peasant civilization and that today give the attentive visitor a much deeper and more authentic territory than you think.
